The grade 11's worked on (hopefully) the finishing touches to their road trip project.
Tomorrow we are in class again to discuss investing choices (GIC's, Stocks, Mutual Funds, etc)
Wed we are back in the Lab for an internet project about the investment opportunities discussed Tues.
The grade 9's took up the review on exponents today. They have their test tomorrow (very very very) similar to the review. On Wed they will present their bacteria (exponential growth) projects to the class.
On Thurs, we move on to polynomials (the start of algebra)
The grade 12's have a work period on Mon to finish all the simple interest work from the textbook or the assignment. On Tues, we will start compound interest (likely 2 lessons worth) and on Wed they have another work period while I am away in the afternoon to a math conference in Hagersville.

They finally updated the DSS website..
My new blog has been set up for a while now, but they had not changed the link on the DSS website so that you could arrive here. Now that it has been changed...please check often for updates for Mr Shoup's classes.
Grade 9 Applied - You have an exponents test on Tues, and have to present your Bacteria Assignments on Wed.
Grade 11 Essentials - You should be finishing your Road Trip project, as well as the worksheet on buying vs leasing.
Grade 12 College - Time to clean up all missing assignments from the Stats unit, and stay caught up with the finance unit too (pg 38, 42, and the simple interest assignment from today).
The blog and more specific details will continue for the rest of the year.
